fym this is rated 4.1 on letterboxd gtfo. me personally i thought this was generic as hell. maybe because i'm an Inside Out girl through and through. the plot was predictable asf. and tbh technically this was a rewatch?? i remember watching it when i was like 10 or 11 but i didn't remember the whole plot. i did not like this movie tho it was mid. animation was cool tho. and un poco loco >>

found out that the webtoon was completed so i went ahead and binged tf out of it. it was... interesting. i don't think it made much of an impression on me but it was a nice turn-your-brain-off-and-read type of story. there's not a lot of substance and excitement in this but eh. i read it ig.

girl u know i was ITCHING to watch this movie for such a long time. and now that i have... i am sad. nothing could've prepared me for the fact that REMI KILLED HIMSELF. WHAT. i was like "no way they just drift apart right?" NO. WORSE. ugh that last scene with remi's mother and leo had me upset and crying. this film and Monster (2023) are cut from the same cloth because both deal with two young boys having to deal with the world's unwelcome prejudices of their pure relationship. remi crying at the dinner table also made me sad coz uhh relatable haha. i want to hug the poor guy. he just wanted his (boy?)friend to accept him and be with him.

okay it doesn't hold up to Past Lives but it is kinda overhated. it's an almost satiric movie dealing with the modern dating scene but the problem with this movie is that it trips in the face its three shining a-list actors. i think this movie would've felt better if three lesser known actors were the stars of the show. and because of the fact that the actors are such giant stars, the movie depends too much on that and the actual chemistry between them feels wonky and stiff. the plot could've been a little better given that the premise was interesting. but one thing that was still prevalent was celine song's directing style because her visual choices are fantastic. this is a mid movie tho. the script needed a lot more workshopping. but the credits were creative because i don't think i've ever seen the credits roll over an extended scene with a stationary camera.

SOMEHOW GOT BETTER? i think i shed a tear at some point. emilia and chris' subplot was so good!! THE ROMANCE WAS GOOD!!!! i loved the non-linear bit of that coz when the flashback scene finally came i was so into it. chris' character development is so good and that guy has BEEN through it. eagly remains the GOAT because nothing beats a fiercely loyal CGI eagle with crazy plot armour and emotions. the parallel earth bit was nicely done and i kid you not i did not guess that they were nazis at first lmfao. i completely forgot about the earth x crossover from the arrowverse so it did catch me by surprise. the concept of a multiverse is so intriguing and i fear it's not executed properly much but it was actually pretty chill here. the ending of this show was kinda really fkin weird tho coz wtf was that??? is we finna forget about chris in the wider dcu?? just like that? 

📖 ~ Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

this book... was special. you can tell it's special from the moment u start reading it. i binged it in 8 hours, a single day, and i was like "damn". ari's accident? did not expect that. that was wild and it shocked me. i kinda loved the dante in chicago bit coz they were both growing into themselves apart from each other and growing up too. i related a lot to ari as a character and the emotions he had in him that he had trouble letting out. but my favourite thing about this book (aside from ari and dante's bond which sometimes reminded me of abby) was how both their parents were written. they were literally such good parents bro. ari had a tumultuous relationship with his own parents in the beginning coz neither understood the other but the way it develops throughout the book was wonderful and they become such solid pillars for him. and dante's parents UGHHH I LOVE THEM SM THEY'RE SUCH GOOD PARENTS DANTE I WANNA BE IN UR FAMILY. the only thing i didn't like was the lore with ari's brother. ig i can understand how it fits into the story but i feel like it took up too much space? idk i just wasn't a huge fan of that.
