zaym mama it be kinda overhyped yikes. the first half was great but i feel like it fell off in the third arc and the ending was too rushed. there was also a couple things i felt like were problematic and kind of pissed me off (like the basketball scene in the latter half of the movie) and i understand how this movie could've been culturally significant but it's also very *insert skull emoji* sometimes. BUT I DID SHED A TEAR OR TWO LMAO ESP IN THAT TRAIN SCENE where anjali's like "bro i'm leaving fr" and rahul goes "yea leave then" in a very petty way and the look on his face when the train horn goes off and he realises "oh wait she's leaving FRFR" AHHHHHHHHHHHH i was feral bro i understand ok this movie does things to ppl. i was just against the way anjali was uhh sexualised? and honestly let's be real here, there was an underlying connotation of women being undesirable if they weren't traditionally "feminine" or "docile"—idc if this was fictional and is a movie, that is one of the reasons this movie is so culturally significant and it shaped the indian mindset. aside from that YES TINA UGH I WOULD LOVE HER TOO SHES SO SLAY but she's also a mary sue so i would hate her irl Imao girl's got no flaws.
