📖 ~ Daisy Jones & The Six

now, let me put a few things in perspective. i didn't like this book. if the rating were based solely on my personal experience w this book, it would have gotten a 1 star rating. but i have to acknowledge the fact that the subject matter of this book is such that i don't fully grasp or understand it to the extent it was meant to. i had no emotional attachment to any character. somehow the characters ended up being both one dimensional and nuanced at the same time. idk tbh. it is what it is. maybe some day i'll fully grasp the concept of this book and wholeheartedly embrace that 5 star rating. i did end up highlighting a lot of shit in this book, i think it's the most i've ever done? maybe not. i didn't count. what i wanted to happen didn't happen. this story is abt addiction. a real world problem. and as a person who reads for escapism... well... yk. i couldn't properly get the chemistry between billy and daisy. better off as friends. eddie was fucking annoying. i wanted daisy x warren to happen but who's listening to me? graham was lovesick the whole time. i'm happy for pete and jenny. karen was... eh. wish we could've expanded on simone more. camila was fine but again ehhh.
