i think i understand the people who hated on the ATLA live-action coz bestie, wtf was this? this reads like badly written fanfiction by a 10-yr-old or a YA novel from mid-2010s. admittedly, i found musa and sam's relationship rlly cute, and sky was attractive, and bloom's wings looked cool, and the design of the burned one was great, but other than that? dogshit. watched the last episode in 2x speed coz i didn't wanna deal with 50 whole minutes of this stupidity. the last five minutes were basically a hard right on the main highway and flipped the entire direction of the car coz rlly? wtf? sky's father is alive, farah is dead (predicted that one btw), and rosalind is headmistress again? beatrix is basically sky's adopted sister? bestie, too much too fast. this story is too much telling and not showing. wtf was dane's deal? bro's character switched so fast and hard and left me feeling confused, i literally didn't even see it coming. and what was w the are you gay comments on riven's part. if u're bi then js say it. also beatrix did jack shit for u bro why do u care abt her sm OH ik for the plot. stella's charactor also swerved hard coz a few days away from alfea and she's suddenly an uwu traumatised girl and besties w everyone and wants to help. ugh don't even get me started on her relationship w sky. whose idea was that? they're like SIBLINGS to me. i was initially pissed off at them for straight up cutting flora out and replacing her w her rando cousin TERRA (dumb asf name btw why's she named terra and her brother's named sam like a normal person) and tbh i still am coz it doesn't make sense. i prolly forgot some gripes—oh yea, bloom's parents are white and shitty asf. that door scene pissed me off so bad. her mum's such a karen ugh. aside from these grievances: the sets were cool, outfits and makeup were cool, the cgi and VFX also good—but honestly, why'd they cheap out on the title card? and the font for the credits, it looked so lazy.
