SEBASTIAN CROFT AND CHARITHRA CHANDRAN, I AM SO SORRY THAT U HAD TO DO THIS. literally less than five minutes into the movie and my first thought was "what ai generated crap is this"—AND THAT DOES NOT BODE WELL. i fully expected archie to fall in love with billy but this movie was straight asf with one token gay guy as always. the sheer lack of creativity in the script was so eyeroll inducing ohmygod. milly is mean to billy so he leaves her at the restaurant (red flag coz why would u leave a girl alone at night) and then comes driving back to just randomly trauma dump and ditch again???? what's this movie even?? honestly, the plot i had in my mind for this movie is sm more cooler and interesting and i have no doubt that sebastian croft would've slayed my script. it was so awful i had to watch half of it in 2x speed. horrendous. there were only some visually creative aspects that i liked, for example, the set design of the classrooms and school (i love me posh schools), but other than that? this movie was utter garbage. i WILL read fanfiction of it (coz bash's character should've fallen for billy and tripped into a teenage gay awakening/crisis).
