they weren't kidding with this movie. dreamworks more like waterworks DBDJSJS. ok listen, the animation was spectacular from the first frame itself. i loved the hyperreal but still animated quality of the visuals. it was very vibrant and full of life, which is very fitting for this movie. the score didn't particularly catch my attention at first but the song that plays as brightbill flies to migrate w the geese for the first time was spectacular. i kept crying lol. after that scene, it was just constant tears. maybe i was more susceptible to crying due to the fact that i'm on my period, but this movie was genuinely good. i can't believe kit connor was brightbill lol his voice was so different it was nigh unrecognisable. pedro pascal's voice is very distinctive tho—he was a great choice for fink the fox (close enough, welcome back nick wilde). lupita ate as roz. loved her, she was so wholesome. roz and brightbill's relationship had me bawling and roz and fink's friendship (situationship me thinks ok they were co-parenting) was so heart-warming and fun. the animals coming together, the dynamics, the allegory UGH WONDERFUL. dreamworks cooked a masterpiece. looking forward to the oscar win guys <3
